THE SCHOOL, THE HEART OF THE LAVIEVULINH PROJECT
The school is the heart of the LAVIEVULINH project for fair-trade tourism and sustainable development. Its aim is to enable the inhabitants of the region to develop skills and abilities so that they might remain the key players in the development of their province, whilst maintaining their cultural identity.
The LAVIEVULINH School runs an apprenticeship scheme. Various subjects are taught, such as English, French, computing, accounting, and then put into practice on the site thus completing a paid training: the professional training is focussed on tourism.
As the school is the heart of the project, its development determines the whole project’s pace of progress. Due to the fact that all the sectors are closely linked, the rhythm of the school will also be affected by everything else that’s going on within the project.
